(1) Assisting schools to establish institutionally based research to inform practice e.g:

  • Setting & grouping – impact of setting & grouping on individual pupil attainment (BPRS) (3 Yr, starting with BPRS)
  • Impact of MDP on leadership & management (BPRS)
  • Impact of mono-cultural schools on attainment (3 Yr)

(LIG Funding)

(5) Provide an effective contribution to the development of national policies & initiatives (work with  Innovation Unit, Commissioner for London & other schools)

(7) Further develop and evaluate current whole school model of social inclusion (workings of SI:PS; Peer Mediation; pro-active approaches to pupil behaviour)

 

(1) Assisting schools to establish institutionally based research to inform practice e.g: 

  • Efficacy of current whole school approaches to social inclusion

(2) Develop the use and analysis of pupil data, quantitative  & qualitative, to raise attainment

(6) Promote and develop approaches to ‘school self-assessment’ in line with Leadership Improvement Grant model
