 Eyes On The Prize

 

 

 

 

The Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement and Leader Awards Presentation Evening was held on Tuesday 21st September 2004. This presentation evening is an annual event open to all secondary schools in Tower Hamlets. The foundation supports clubs, schools and projects that work with young people in East London and West Essex.

Jack PetcheyAchievement Awards are given to young people who make a whole hearted contribution  to their club,  school or community. The event, which was attended by Jack Petchey OBE himself took place in Queen Mary University. Guests from Mulberry included Ms Lee, Mr Block and Ms S Jones.

The Leader Award of £1000  was presented to Ms Lee. Talking of her evening Ms Lee said‘ the evening was really great with cheerleaders, dancers and a band.  The Mulberry Girls were the smartest of all the schools and we all enjoyed meeting the real Jack Petchey!’

Many Tower Hamlets based schools displayed entertaining performances during the ceremony. Pop Music was appreciated to its maximum level while girls, boys and Leaders went up to collect their  much deserved awards.

Receiving this prestigious award from Mulberry were Syeda Akther, Shamina Akther Ali, Zolekha Begum,  Ambia Khatun, Nazia Subhani ,  Thamina Siddika,Farzhana Zeny Zeshin, Ayesha Begum Miah, Tazneen Uddin, Apsana Begum, Shamima Begum, Difa Ahmed, Forida Khatun, and of course Ms Lee

Congratulations to all those who received  an award!

All in all it was a spectacular evening.
