 The Mulberry News |
Model United Nations |

On Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th Mulberry students went to an exciting United Nations conference which was held in City of London Girls school. It wasn’t the actual UN but one which simulated a UN conference as realistically as possible.
Mulberry students attended as representatives of Pakistan and a few 6th formers attended as the UK. The students had to promote a resolution or proposition regarding an issue of concern to the country and spent their time supporting or rejecting resolutions of other counties.
It was especially memorable as Sumaya Marshal of 10U received a best speaker award for Pakistan and Amina Aktar of 11Y was nominated as the best speaker for the United Kingdom.
Overall it was great fun as the students had the opportunity to meet all kinds of students from schools around London. They were also able to engage in debate and become more politically aware. Having made several international ties and establishing friendly relations, not forgetting a fair share of global enemies, all in all, the girls had a fantastic time!
