Embracing the future
1997 saw the beginning of the Private Finance Initiative process that has resulted in the magnificent surroundings in which Mulberry School for Girls finds itself today. The final designs are adventurous, resulting from a unique process that has liberated the girls’ imagination and ideas. The quality and design of the building are wonderful and each time a new part was handed over to the school, the ‘wow’ factor was evident from students, staff, governors and parents alike. A past  student, returning today, would scarcely recognise the place. With this landmark building development completed, everyone now has quality facilities in which to teach, learn, work and relax. It has enabled teachers to develop new and innovative approaches to teaching and students to become more active learners, both within and outside of the normal school curriculum.
