The Learning Eye does not store or capture personal information other than that requested in its registration forms. However, to enable us to monitor and improve the site, we may gather certain information about you when you use the website, including details of your Operating system: e.g., Windows, DOS, Macintosh, or UNIX; Browser version and type: e.g., Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer; Browser language: e.g., Java or Unix; Internet Service Provider (ISP): e.g., MindSpring or AOL;Your IP address: a unique number assigned to every computer on the Internet. The type of information that The Learning Eye can infer from the IP address is a geographic location. Your domain: e.g., .co.uk,.net, or .sch.uk. This is standard information that is available with all communication sent on the Internet.

Cookies
We may use cookies to note the fact that you have voted in a poll and that you are a member of a Learning Eye School, but we do not use cookies for collecting any other user information from the site and we will not collect any information about you except that required for system administration of the web server and maintaining school/organisation-specific membership procedures.

We will not sell, licence or trade your personal details to any third party to be used for marketing purposes.


Information, Messages and materials
Information, messages or materials  that you supply through  any of our electronic forms will only be used for the purpose(s) stated on, or displayed in the manner understood by, the relevant form.

Content and Materials
Material on this site is protected by copyright. Use of the contents is limited to private and non-commercial use purposes only, with appropriate acknowledgement of the copyright owner, and may not be further exploited without prior written permission of the Learning Eye or the appropriate school.

The permission to reproduce the Learning Eye material does not extend to any material on the website that is identified as the copyright of a third party. Authorisation to reproduce such material must be obtained from the copyright holders. Therefore, you must not infringe the copyright or any other restrictions owned or imposed by third parties concerning their information and materials available on the internet or otherwise accessed via the Learning Eye. It is your responsibility to ensure you do not breach any such copyright or similar restriction at any time. You will indemnify us against any loss we may incur as a result of your infringement or any alleged infringement of any third party rights.

We do not warrant that any information obtained from or via the Learning Eye is accurate, correct, free from viruses, reliable or necessarily available for your unrestricted use.

Uploading content and materials
Any content, materials, or information stored on or uploaded to the Learning Eye or messages sent within the Learning Eye or to third parties in the outside world whether by you or a third party using your password is your responsibility. You must comply at all times with all relevant laws and regulations relating to such activities or information. This includes but is not necessarily limited to: copyright; defamation; trade marks; data protection or any regulation of offensive, obscene or illegal content. We reserve the right to access any information or stored on the Learning Eye or messages sent via the Learning Eye and remove all or any part of such information or message if we deem it to be actually or potentially inappropriate or illegal. However, the Learning Eye is under no obligation to monitor any such information, content or messages and it is your responsibility to comply with any applicable law, regulation and these terms. You will indemnify us against any loss we may incur as a result of your breach or any alleged breach of any such law or regulation by any third party

Registration and Membership

The Learning eye reserves the right to terminate immediately and remove completely from the Learning Eye system any school or organisation whose members, staff or otherwise, are deemed to be:

• using the Learning Eye illegally
• attempting to abuse or misuse the Learning Eye in any manner
• attempting to gain unlawful or inappropriate entry into any section of the Learning Eye or disrupt the normal functioning of the Learning eye in any manner
• attempting to abuse the Learning Eye in any way outlined in this document through the unsanctioned use of the username and password of another individual
• attempting to, what is commonly known as, ‘hack' any part of the Learning Eye in any manner
• attempting to 'reverse engineer' any of the structures the Learning Eye in part or whole
• failing to maintain the security of the Learning Eye membership heirarchy

Registration applies to the individual and is non-transferable. If we feel it is appropriate to do so, we reserve the right to:

• remove or suspend the registration of any individual, regardless of status within the school or organisation
• remove or suspend the login and the rights available in doing so of any school, organisation or individual
• alter or remove any editing rights given to members of a school/organisation
• track the actions of any registered member including their use of any forms within the Learning Eye
• request that the school or organisation to whom an individual member belongs brings sanctions to bear on this individual be deemed to be misusing the site in any manner. This does not negate the possibility of further actions by the Learning Eye as outlined elsewhere in these terms of use

Your password may only be used by you and it is your responsibility to keep it confidential. You will be held responsible for all use of the Learning Eye using your password. You may change your password at any time through your personal membership 'settings'. You will indemnify us against any loss we may incur arising out of the unauthorised use of your password.

You may not copy or otherwise use any software, scripting or computer programs which are deemed to be part of or contained within the Learning Eye.

When accessing information or software through or via the Learning Eye, You must comply with the terms of any licence or terms including those relating to the use of any third party proprietary computer programs or services such as communications or email. If we believe you may be in breach of any such licences we reserve the right to terminate your use of The Learning Eye including in relation to excessive use, abusive 'spamming' practices or high volumes of communications transmissions. You will indemnify us against any loss we may incur as a result of your use of Learning Eye otherwise than as expressly authorised under these terms.

The Learning Eye gives no warranty as to the accuracy of the information on this website and accepts no liability for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of reliance on such information. Visitors and members who rely on this information do so at their own risk. Although the Learning Eye takes all reasonable measures to ensure that the information provided to it from, or transmitted by, third parties is not defamatory or offensive, the Learning Eye is not responsible for the contents or reliability of these submissions or transmissions by third parties and does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them. The Learning Eye is not responsible for the contents or reliability of any linked websites and again does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them.
